We offer a variety of metal finishing dependent upon the client’s application, including powder coating, zinc plating and anodising. Powder coating, an electrostatic process, offers a durable, chip and scratch resistant finish and is available in a wide range of colours and products, including Polyester, Epoxy Polyester and Epoxy Nylon. Additionally, a choice of interesting textures such as hammer, antique and leatherette can achieve that perfect finish.
Zinc plating
An electroplating process, zinc plating is a very popular finish for steel and cast iron and many other metals. Widely used in the automotive industry, it is Ideal for products exposed in interior or mildly corrosive conditions. Zinc plating increases the corrosive resistance and can also be used as a protective undercoating prior to painting. Qualities of this process include high temperature tolerance, low stress deposits, increased strength and cost effectiveness.
Anodising
Anodising is an electrochemical process which increases the natural oxide layer, converting it into a decorative and corrosion resistant finish. The advantages of this process also include durability and improved adhesion for paint primers and adhesive. Naturally anodised metal is either silver or light grey and the colour tone is dependent upon the original surface finish. Additionally, colour anodising is an attractive option whereby the aluminium is coloured during the anodising process, unlike coating, the colour becomes part of the surface. The colour choice will depend upon the final application.
