Cutting and Capabilities
Our sheet metal laser cutting and laser profiling service is extremely accurate and efficient with consistent repeatability. The laser beam is delivered directly to the head via fibre optic cables, replacing the costly and inefficient mirror systems.
As fiber laser has progressed exceptionally from CO² technology, we are now capable of cutting non-ferrous metals such as brass and copper up to 12mm, without any defects or burrs and as these metals are generally used in many varied decorative and innovative projects, the capabilities of this machine are beneficial for clients requiring a superb finish.
Speeds have increased dramatically using nitrogen rather than traditional oxygen cutting methods, which eliminate the oxidised edge improving any secondary coating process. Intricate designs can be easily achieved with this state of the art machine, transforming our clients’ ideas and vision into the finished product.
Decorative Designs and Etching
Due to the prodigious versatility of our fiber laser, we are able to create complex metal patterns, with a high powered output of up to 6kw, this new and exciting process can be utilised for a myriad of applications, including etching and engraving.
Examples of laser etching include product personalisation, bar coding, logos, serial numbers and copyright protection. The preferred etching method for bare metals is fiber laser as opposed to CO² and is ideal for marking many metal types including aluminium, brass, copper, nickel plated metals, stainless steel and many more.
