APSM Engineering has upgraded from a Mazak 6kW Nexus to the latest Mazak Optiplex Neo laser system. This investment provides faster cutting speeds, improved energy efficiency, and enhanced precision. Mazak Optiplex 3015 NEO – 12kW Fibre Laser

Our 12kW fibre laser system provides outstanding performance across both thin and thick materials, combining speed with exceptional cut quality.

Key capabilities include:

Maximum sheet size: 1525 mm x 3050 mm

X & Y axis accuracy over 500 mm: ±0.005 mm

Repeatability: ±0.005 mm

Advanced MAZATROL SmoothLx CNC control

Beam Diameter Control and Variable Beam Mode for optimum cutting across different materials and thicknesses

 

This technology allows us to achieve tight tolerances, clean edges, and excellent repeatability on complex profiles.

 

 

Materials We Use

S275 / S355 Mild Steel

Cutting thickness: 3 mm – 30 mm
These structural grades are among the most commonly used steels we process. They are ideal for general fabrication, laser cutting, and folding applications across a wide range of industries.

CR4 Mild Steel

Cutting thickness: 0.5 mm – 3 mm
Cold rolled mild steel offering a smooth surface finish, making it suitable for precision components and formed parts.

Strenx® 700MC

High-strength structural steel commonly used in lightweight chassis and load-bearing applications. Strenx® 700MC allows significant weight reduction while maintaining strength and durability.

Hardox®

Abrasion-resistant steel designed for extreme wear environments. Common applications include construction, quarrying, mining, and heavy-duty equipment.

Stainless Steel

Cutting thickness: 0.5 mm – 40 mm
We cut a wide range of stainless steel grades, offering excellent corrosion resistance and clean, high-quality finishes suitable for demanding environments.

Aluminium

Cutting thickness: 0.5 mm – 40 mm
Our fibre laser technology allows clean, accurate cutting of aluminium for lightweight, precision components across multiple industries.

Brass

Cutting thickness: 1 mm – 20 mm
Brass is processed efficiently despite its reflective properties, making it ideal for decorative and precision engineering applications.

Copper

Cutting thickness: 1 mm – 20 mm
Using high-power fibre laser technology, we can accurately cut copper with clean edges and minimal heat distortion.

Galvanised Steel

Cutting thickness: 0.5 mm – 3 mm
Durable coated steel sheets cut accurately to specification for a wide range of fabricated parts.
